Restriction of movement and contact with witnesses: Prohibitive measures sought for Kamber and others

(Patria) - After questioning the suspects, the acting prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption will submit to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a proposal for the imposition of prohibitive measures for three suspects, deprived of liberty in the investigation of the criminal offense of electoral fraud in the area of Sanski Most, during the general elections of 2018.

Asim Kamber, Mirela Husić and Fazir Vukalić were handed over this morning to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after being arrested yesterday by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).

The investigation of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is focused on detecting and prosecuting criminal acts of electoral fraud suspected to have been committed during the 2018 General Elections.

"The prohibitive measures, which among other things include restriction of residence and movement of the suspects, and a ban on contact with other suspects and witnesses in this case, have been proposed so that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA and partner institutions and agencies can conduct and complete the investigation in this case without hindrance.

The investigation in the case continues intensively," the Prosecutor's Office stated.
