Sifet Podžić also commented: I made a mistake and I am ashamed that I voted for Poplašeni!

The Secretary General of the Democratic Front and delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly issued a press release, which the Patria News Agency conveys in its entirety.

-After the dust settled following the vote in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for the appointment of members of the Management Board of the Agency for Higher Education Development and Quality Assurance, during which the self-proclaimed Chetnik duke Nikola Poplašeni was appointed as one of the members with the votes of 8 delegates, including my vote, I will clearly state:

Yes, I made a mistake. It is true that I made a mistake, mostly towards myself and all Bosnian-Herzegovinian patriots, because as a man who defended this country with all his heart, all through the war, I made a political compromise and I regret it.

On the other hand, let those who have never defended, nor ever loved and respected this country, not rejoice or lecture. The shame I feel regarding the decision that our coalition partners SDA, HDZ BiH, and the Alliance for Change supported along with me, will never be the feeling that will prevail in such people due to the damage they have caused and are still causing to our homeland in a more brutal and dangerous way than my one wrong assessment and desire for compromise where it truly did not belong.

The stance to support this was my personal one and in no way the stance of the Democratic Front, according to the statement signed by Sifet Podžić.
