BHRT responds: We will determine responsibility and consider suspending the use of SRNA services

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the BHRT portal published a SRNA news item stating that BiH is a state community composed of two entities, this media house issued a public statement.

"The text published on the BHRT portal regarding the marking of 26 years since the conclusion of the Dayton Agreement was taken by the portal's journalist from the SRNA agency, which stated that '...the state community of BiH was created, composed of two entities, the Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, which are signatories to all annexes.' Given that this is not true, we inform the public that the error was immediately corrected.

The management of BHRT will urgently, in accordance with BHRT's regulations, initiate appropriate proceedings and determine responsibility and sanctions for this journalistic oversight.

We particularly emphasize that the management of BHRT will also address the frequent occurrence of politicization of news, distorted and inaccurate interpretations, especially of events from BiH's recent past, and manipulation of information by the SRNA agency.

The management of BHRT will also consider suspending the future use of this news agency's services," BHRT stated.
