Bećirović's Cabinet Responds: Some Want Us to Fall for VIP Lounge Discussions While the Constitutional Order is Under Attack

(Patria) - In response to tendentious reporting initiated by individuals in high positions regarding the expenses of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović during his official visit to London, his Cabinet issued a statement.

"At a time when the constitutional order is under attack, individuals are skillfully trying to divert attention to VIP lounges. This is not the end, but the beginning of a media onslaught aimed at distracting people from the essential issues upon which the preservation of the state depends. Of course, an additional goal is to overshadow the upcoming visit of BiH Presidency members to Ukraine, as it bothers the destroyers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their foreign mentors.

Only the naive can fall for tricks about VIP lounges that are deliberately initiated and organized by individuals in high positions. Of course, these individuals do not mind that the president of an administrative-territorial unit of the RS entity has a cabinet budget 107 times larger than that of a BiH Presidency member. They also do not mind that the RS entity president uses official helicopters and planes of the RS entity for his travels. But they do mind that we are strengthening the international position of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that we will continue to do so even more decisively, regardless of these fabrications.

Otherwise, the use of VIP lounges is not scheduled by the BiH Presidency member, nor by his Cabinet, but by the BiH Presidency Protocol in communication with the host country's Protocol, which is a standard procedure during all official visits of BiH Presidency members.

There is no BiH Presidency member who has not used VIP lounges, just as there is no president in Europe who has not used them. During the exceptionally successful visit to the United Kingdom, only minimal services were used, relating to the protocol arrival of heads of state and government at the VIP area of the airport, from where the delegation is picked up by VIP vehicles of the host country.

It is evident that some people want to overshadow the very successful visit of Dr. Denis Bećirović to the United Kingdom with tendentious spin, which took place during the most brutal attacks on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was therefore of great importance for the state and all its citizens," stated Bećirović's Cabinet.
