
(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today launched an operational action "BLACK TIE 2" in the areas of Sarajevo, Zenica, and Mostar, which includes searches at multiple locations. The action targets several suspected individuals and legal entities, including high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions. Evidence from encrypted applications has been collected within the scope of the case.
The aforementioned activities are being carried out under the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of "Organized Crime" in connection with criminal offenses of "Money Laundering", "Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs", and "Receiving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit" and "Abuse of Official Position or Authority" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been committed.
The operational action is the result of joint work between SIPA and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton and the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, with support on the ground provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
International support for the ongoing activities was provided by the FBI, DEA, and Europol.
