Confiscated smuggled tobacco, perfumes, sunglasses, wristwatches...

Officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority in the areas of Jablanica, Neum, Gornji Vakuf, Mostar, Vrapčići, Trebinje and Ljubuški temporarily confiscated various goods with a total market value of 52,000 KM. The goods were temporarily confiscated in several separate operations due to the lack of any documentation on their origin, reports the Patria News Agency.

The goods were confiscated as part of intensified activities to check the trade and origin of excise and other goods in February and March 2015, conducted by ITA officials in the Regional Center Mostar. These include sunglasses, smoking tobacco, cigarettes, perfumes, wristwatches, LCD displays for mobile phones, textiles, and footwear. The temporarily confiscated goods have been handed over to the competent organizational unit of the ITA, and misdemeanor or criminal proceedings will be initiated against the individuals in whose possession they were found before the competent courts.

Also, during the operational and post-operational phase of participation in the international operation: "Clean Earth", activities were carried out to check individuals engaged in the trade of plant protection products, and ammunition for hunting rifles - 1169 pieces, which was illegally sold (without proof of origin), was found and discovered.

ITA officials are continuing intensified activities during March and April to prevent all illegal activities, especially the sale of goods without any documentation of their origin, it was announced from the ITA of BiH.
