Large quantity of 'branded' textiles worth BAM 206,500 seized

(Patria) - Authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority at the Gradiška Customs Post temporarily seized a large quantity of undeclared branded textiles amounting to BAM 206,500.

Officials from the Group for Prevention of Smuggling and Offences from the Banja Luka regional center, in cooperation with customs officers at the Gradiška Customs Post, discovered and prevented an attempt to import a large quantity of textile goods into Bosnia and Herzegovina during the inspection of an import shipment. The goods were textile products of renowned brands (NIKE, BOSS, PRADA, HM, Tommy Hilfinger, etc.).

The estimated market value of the temporarily seized goods is BAM 206,500, and the goods in question were retained on suspicion of intellectual property rights infringement.

Specialized equipment, as well as vehicles donated to the ITA by the U.S. Embassy in BiH through the EXBS program, were used during the measures undertaken within their jurisdiction.
