(Patria) - Following the POSKOK operation in which several mobile phones were seized, the Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić commented.
"As the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I have shown that I fully support the work of police and judicial institutions, expecting them to do their job professionally, impartially, and in accordance with the law. Trust in institutions and their independence are the foundation of a stable and responsible society.
I remind you that on October 24, I personally addressed the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime, and Corruption of the Federation of BiH with a request to verify all allegations about my possible mediation in employment, and to initiate appropriate proceedings if a basis is found. With this act, I wanted to show that no one, not even me, can and must be exempt from checks and accountability.
The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains completely open to cooperation with all competent authorities. My only interest is that institutions function professionally, transparently, and at full capacity – in the interest of citizens and preserving trust in the state," Nikšić stated.
The Director of the Police Academy of FMUP, Ervin Mušinović, who handed over his official phone, also commented.
"It is true that, in accordance with legal procedures, I handed over my official phone within the scope of the case related to the correspondence from the phone of the FUP Director Vahidin Munjić. There were no raids, interrogations, or any drama – everything was done completely professionally. I believe in the institutions and judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I am fully available to the competent authorities in order to establish the complete truth," Mušinović wrote on social media.
As announced by the Federal Prosecutor's Office, by order of the Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-Cantonal Crime of the Supreme Court of FBiH, and under the supervision of a team of prosecutors from the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of FBiH, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo carried out searches at four locations in the Canton of Sarajevo this morning, on suspicion of committing several corrupt acts.
During the operation, phones were temporarily seized from four individuals.
Processing and documentation preparation related to the aforementioned activities are underway, after which they will be submitted to the Court that issued the order.
