449th Old Bridge Diving Competition Held: Listo and Boškailo Winners

18:25 The 449th traditional Old Bridge diving competition in Mostar has concluded, with Lorens Listo winning the head-first dive category and Adis Boškailo taking the feet-first dive victory. Listo was the best despite an injury just before the start of the competition, reports the Patria agency. This is his ninth win. Second and third place in the head-first dive were taken by Kemal Fazlić and Vedad Vedo Bašić. In the feet-first dive, second and third place were won by Igor Kazić and Admir Delić.

17:30 In the head-first dive discipline, 29 competitors participated. The best in the swallow category were Vedad Vedo Bašić and eight-time champion Lorens Listo.

In the feet-first dive category, 22 competitors participated, with the best being Admir Delić, Igor Kazić, and Adis Boškailo.

In the second round, the ten best divers from both disciplines will compete. A large number of spectators gathered below the Old Bridge, watching the divers with enjoyment.

All registered participants had to undergo a medical examination during the day, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Today, competitors will dive feet-first, for which 23 divers have registered, while 30 competitors will perform the Mostar swallow. Diving into the cold Neretva River from a height of 27 meters requires good physical fitness and exceptional courage.

During today's event, veteran exhibition dives will also be performed, and a fireworks display will be held in the evening.
