
(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at its 15th extraordinary telephone session, adopted the Information from the Directorate for European Integration on the holding of the seventh meeting
of the Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security between the European Union (EU) and Bosnia and
Herzegovina, which will be held on December 6 and 7, 2023, in a hybrid format.
The Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in cooperation with
competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, carry out all necessary actions for holding
this meeting.
The delegations of the EU and BiH will discuss, among other things, the progress achieved between the two
meetings regarding the functioning of the judiciary, fundamental rights, the fight against
corruption, organized crime and terrorism, migration, and border management.
The head of the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Samir Rizvo from the Ministry of Security
of BiH, will be available to the media for inquiries regarding the seventh meeting of the Subcommittee
on Justice, Freedom and Security between the EU and BiH.
Then, the 16th extraordinary telephone session of the Council of Ministers of BiH was held, where the Proposal for an administrative agreement between the Federal Ministry of the Interior for Construction and Homeland Affairs, represented by the President of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees of the Federal Republic of Germany - BAMF, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, was determined and will be sent to the Presidency of BiH for further procedure.
The goal of the project, for which the Federal Republic of Germany has provided a grant of EUR 800,000.00, is to complete the establishment of a functional, transparent, and sustainable system for the reception and integration of BiH citizens returning to BiH based on the readmission agreement.
This aims to ensure optimal capacities in relation to the current dynamics
of reception and integration of readmitted BiH citizens.
The total value of this project is EUR 1,162,940.00, of which the German grant is EUR 800,000.00, and the remaining EUR 362,940.00 will be provided by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH and its implementation partner, entities, and local authorities.
