The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Information of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury on the status and distribution of funds from the Banayou fund and authorized Ankica Kolobarić, a member of the Joint Committee on Annex C of the Agreement, to issue an order to the law firm „Ogier“, on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to transfer funds from the Banayou fund, reports the Patria News Agency.
The Banayou fund's assets originated from the purchased Yugoslav debt to the „London Club“ of creditors in accordance with the Trade and Deposit Facility Agreement, signed in 1988.
Under this agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina should receive 1,373,069.43 euros, 78,325.51 US dollars, and 1,316.95 British pounds.
The distribution of funds was agreed upon by the Joint Committee for the Implementation of Annex C of the Succession Agreement, with the aim of resolving the division of funds, as the fund is subject to changes due to its maintenance costs and negative interest rates.
