Forum "Mostar - a city without elections" held: Political trading must be stopped

Representatives of the opposition parties SDP BiH, DF, HDZ 1990, SBiH, NS-Mostar held a public forum "Mostar - a city without elections", and it was emphasized that the trading over this city must be stopped and local elections held after eight years, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The president of the HNK committee of SDP BiH, Zoran Miličević, offered two legal ways to hold elections in Mostar at the forum. One of them invokes the protectorate of the High Representative in BiH, who would, with his powers (Annex 10), impose political will and enable citizens the right to free democratic elections.

The High Representative, along with the ruling parties in Mostar, bears responsibility for this situation of the citizens. Additional pressure is also needed so that the Parliamentary Assembly adopts a new election law, and the last solution will be citizens taking to the streets of the city of Mostar.

Zdravko Ćorić, president of the city committee of HDZ 1990, said that this forum of united opposition parties in Mostar and its citizens is additional pressure on the Parliament because ultimately the new election law depends on them.

Saša Magazinović, a deputy in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, also addressed those present, saying that Mostar must not be tied to other political issues.
