Session of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH held: How to counter gambling

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Today, under the chairmanship of Reis-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović, the 48th regular session of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held.

The session discussed the scourge of gambling and the plan of activities of the Islamic Community aimed at countering this social problem.

At the session, it was announced from the Rijaset, a coordinator for organizing the Qur'an competition was appointed, and consent was given for the appointment of the head of the service for religious affairs and the service for administrative-legal and economic-financial affairs in the Zenica Muftiship.

The session also discussed the distribution of funds collected from fidya /payment for fasting/, and it was concluded that it is necessary to issue a fatwa to ensure that these funds are spent only for the purpose defined by Sharia. Consent was also given to amendments and supplements to the FIN Curriculum, as well as consent to the Rulebook on organization and systematization of jobs and work positions of the Student Center of the Islamic Community in BiH, and consent to the Decision of the Management Board of the Student Center of the Islamic Community on announcing a competition for student admission to the dormitory.

Consent was given to the Framework School Calendar for madrasas of the Islamic Community and the Bosniak Gymnasium for the 2018/2019 school year.

A Decision was also made on the formation of the Enschede Jamaat in the Netherlands, and funds were allocated to support the construction of a madrasa in Tutin.

The Rijaset also made several other decisions within its competence and resolved the labor-legal status of employees in the Community, including the appointment of a member of the Executive Board of the Interreligious Council in BiH.
