Session of the BiH Presidency held

At today's regular session, the BiH Presidency adopted the Report on the Implementation of the Agreement on Sub-Regional Arms Control (Annex 1B, Article IV of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the work of the Sub-Regional Consultative Commission in 2014.

The goal of the Agreement is to introduce measures for regional stabilization and arms control necessary for creating stable peace in the region, establishing new forms of security cooperation aimed at creating transparency and trust, and achieving balanced and stable levels of defense forces.

All relevant factors, as stated in the Report, assessed that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the other parties to the Agreement (Montenegro, the Republic of Croatia, and the Republic of Serbia), successfully and professionally fulfill all obligations arising from the Agreement. In 2014, Bosnia and Herzegovina successfully fulfilled all obligations in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement and the Action Plan, which represents a concrete contribution to the process of building trust, security, strengthening stability, and cooperation in the region.

At the session, decisions were made to accept Supplement 2 of the Financing Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission, which relates to the horizontal program on nuclear safety and radiation protection within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance for 2011, and

the Agreement on the Establishment of the International ST-EP Organization (Elimination of Poverty through Sustainable Tourism).

At the session, the Report of the Ministry of Justice of BiH on the work of the Pardon Commission for the period January-December 2014 was adopted.
