First session of the new Independent Board held

The constitutive session of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) was held today, an independent body of the PSBiH which is, among other things, responsible for conducting the procedure for selecting candidates and proposing the dismissal of police leaders and deputy leaders of BiH police bodies.

During the constitutive session, the members of the Board were informed about the decision of both houses of the PSBiH, by which, for a four-year term, Žiko Krunić was appointed president of the Independent Board, Enes Obralija as the first deputy president, and Mato Jozić as the second deputy. By the same decision, Ilma Mehić-Jusufbašić, Adisa Begić, Nikola Džambas, Mate Miletić, Ljubomir Kuravica, and Miroslav Škorić were appointed members of the Independent Board, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Independent Board concluded that at the next session on April 2nd and 3rd, it will conduct interviews with candidates who applied for the competition for the selection of directors and deputy directors of BiH police bodies.
