Promotion of the book "Radio Sarajevo, 10 April 1945 – 10 May 1992" held

The promotion of the book "Radio Sarajevo, 10 April 1945 – 10 May 1992" was held at the premises of the Mediacentar Sarajevo, the Patria news agency reports.

On 608 pages and through nearly 300 photographs, more than 90 authors testify about the time of the launch of the largest Bosnian-Herzegovinian radio station, the authors who created shows that people loved and listened to, major programming projects, technical-technological development, and music, drama, entertainment, cultural, educational, children's, humorous-satirical, sports, documentary, and news programming.

The book was discussed by its editors: Zija Dizdarević, Boro Kontić, and Ranko Mavrak. The gathering was also addressed by one of the oldest employees of Radio Sarajevo, Mišo Milićević, the initiators of this book, Zoran Udovičić and Aleksandar Mlač, and former music editor Sabira Bela Samardžić.

The book about Radio Sarajevo covers the period from 10 April 1945, when broadcasting began, to 10 May 1992, when the radio was renamed Radio Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

In 94 articles, it contains a kind of biography of a medium that left a special mark in the history of BiH. The book is a collection of testimonies, memories, and feelings of the people who made up Radio Sarajevo, as employees or associates, during its 47 years of existence. 

At its peak, in the 1990s, Radio Sarajevo broadcast four programs (First, Second, Third, and Sarajevo 202), a total of 64 hours a day, and published the magazine Treći program.
