Illegal assembly held: Municipal Court in Sarajevo annulled the election of the leadership of the Medical Chamber of KS

SARAJevo, (Patria) – The Municipal Court in Sarajevo on September 6 passed a verdict establishing that the continuation of the 5th Electoral Assembly of the Medical Chamber of Sarajevo Canton held on December 20, 2018, was convened and held illegally, and therefore all acts adopted on that day are annulled.

The Court annulled the decisions on the election of the President of the Assembly, the election of the Vice-President of the Assembly, the election of the members of the Supervisory Board, the members of the Management Board, the election of the President of the Chamber, and the Decision on the election of the Vice-President of the Chamber. The Court made the verdict upon the lawsuit filed by several delegates of the Medical Chamber who pointed out irregularities in the work of the Assembly of the Medical Chamber of KS.

We remind you that on that day, Ksenija Miladinović from KCUS was appointed head of the Medical Chamber, while the other candidate, Professor Ismet Gavrankapetanović, left the session with about 30 delegates due to irregularities in the election process.

The Chamber's Electoral Assembly was supposed to be held on September 26, when the candidates were Professor Gavrankapetanović and Dr. Zaim Jatić from the Sarajevo Canton Health Centers, but that session was interrupted, after which Dr. Jatić withdrew his candidacy in November 2018, and Professor Miladinović was nominated as the new opponent to Professor Gavrankapetanović, even though her candidacy was outside the procedures, which the court also established.

The Medical Chamber got a new leadership in January 2017. For the third year in a row, the Medical Chamber of KS has never announced data on the number of doctors who have left Bosnia and Herzegovina by year, how many new doctors have received licenses, or any other data.

The headquarters of the Medical Chamber of KS is at Josipa Vancaša 11/1, as stated in the court register, while the address has been changed since July 1 this year, about which a notice was posted on the Chamber's website. The new address is Sprečanska number 5/III. Lamela C, Malta.
