Constitutive session of the Working Group in BiH for drafting the Reform Plan for the Western Balkans Growth Plan held

(Patria) - The constitutive session of the Working Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina for drafting the Reform Plan for the implementation of the Western Balkans Growth Plan, chaired by Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, was held today in Sarajevo.    
 
Krišto informed the members of the Working Group about the activities undertaken by the ad hoc Working Team in preparing the initial working version of the Reform Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina document, which was previously sent to the European Commission as a basis for compiling an indicative list of projects and priorities.
 
This document contains four priorities: Green and Digital Transition, Private Sector Development and Business Environment, Human Capital Development and Retention, and Rule of Law.

Krišto emphasized that in dialogue with the European Commission, a final reform agenda should be urgently agreed upon in the coming period, which would list all reforms, i.e., investment projects and the necessary financial resources for their implementation. This process will be led by the Working Group in BiH for drafting the Reform Plan for the Western Balkans Growth Plan until its completion. The Rules of Procedure were agreed upon at the session.
 
The Working Group includes the prime ministers of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska, Nermin Nikšić and Radovan Višković, as well as state ministers of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac, Communications and Transport Edin Forto, Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić, and Justice Davor Bunoza, as well as entity finance ministers Toni Kraljević and Zora
Vidović. Also, the Working Group includes 10 cantonal prime ministers: Predrag Čović, Marija Buhač, Tahir Lendo, Ivan Vukadin, Nihad Uk, Edin Ćulov, Irfan Halilagić, Đuro Topić, Nezir Pivić, Nijaz Hušić, and the Mayor of Brčko District BiH Zijad Nišić, as well as the directors of the Directorate for Economic Planning and the Directorate for European Integration, Zoran Zeljko and Elvira Habota.
