4th Štukijada Held at Lake Starača

(Patria) - The 4th Štukijada – a competition in catching pike with artificial lures from the shore – concluded at Lake Starača in Ilijaš. This traditional competition is already in high demand, so after the announcement of the competition, all starting spots were reserved very quickly.

Twenty-four competitors participated in the competition, catching a total of about ten fish during the three hours of the event, with several fish getting away.

At the end of the competition, the first place was won by Anel Bektić from Lukavac, the second place by Jasmin Ovnović from Jablanica, and the third place by Slaviša Čačić from Pale.

The master of the course was Slaviša Čačić, who caught a pike measuring 90 centimeters. Interestingly, the first-place winner, Anel Bektić, caught about ten more pike after the competition, and several fish got away, so it can be said that the day was ideal for fishing this predator, and that Lake Starača has already become known for its quality pike population.
