BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The District Court in Banja Luka ordered one-month detention for Emilio Baldo, suspected of the murder of Slaviša Krunić and Žarko Pavlović, which occurred on Monday, April 22.
Detention was ordered at the proposal of the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office due to the severity of the criminal offense, the threatened penalty, and the fear that the suspect would influence witnesses, falsify, or destroy evidence if released.
RS Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dragan Lukač stated that there is sufficient information and material evidence for the involvement of Benedi Đukanović (who is on the run) and Emilio Baldo, as well as the murdered Željko Kovačević, in the preparation and execution of the murder of Slaviša Krunić. He said they have no information that Đukanović has crossed the border and that they are cooperating with the Serbian Police.
Lukač also stated that the motives for the brutal murder of the Banja Luka businessman are not yet known, but that it was a commissioned murder.
