One-month detention ordered for Dojčinović, Menzilović, and Husić

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court of Tuzla accepted the proposal of the acting prosecutor and ordered a one-month detention for Damir Dojčinović (43) from Mostar, Dino Menzilović (51) from Zenica (residing in Sarajevo), and Hasan Husić (44) from Sarajevo, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed two counts of robbery and one count of aggravated theft as accomplices.

There are grounds for suspicion that the aforementioned individuals, at the end of September 2021, arrived by car at the branch of a microcredit organization in Srebrenik. Two suspects, wearing masks, entered the branch and, under threat of using a pistol, took slightly over 5,000 KM from the employees and fled by car, where the third suspect was waiting for them.

Dojčinović and Menzilović are also suspected of entering a jewelry store in Srebrenik at the end of October 2021, wearing masks. They locked the saleswoman in the toilet, after which they took a large quantity of gold jewelry worth around 200,000 KM from the store.

The suspects are also accused of arriving by car at a family home in Srebrenik at the end of October this year. Two of them broke into the house and stole gold jewelry worth about 50,000 KM from the owner, and then stole a "VW Golf" car worth about 8,000 KM from the garage.

The Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, conducted a multi-month investigation to identify the perpetrators of these criminal offenses. Upon orders from the Cantonal Court of Tuzla, and with the support of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, searches were carried out in the areas of Sarajevo and Mostar, where the suspects were arrested. During the searches, certain items were found and temporarily confiscated, which will be subject to expert examination.

After the criminal processing, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton handed over the suspects to the Prosecutor's Office, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.

The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspects.
