Over 14.2 million KM approved for service linkage for 386 miners

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's session in Mostar, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, adopted the Decision on the payment of outstanding unpaid obligations for pension and disability insurance for service linkage for employees of subsidiary companies - brown coal mines within the JP Elektroprivreda BiH Concern.

These are funds in the amount of over 14.2 million KM for service linkage for 386 miners. With this decision, Kreka d.o.o. Tuzla Coal Mine, Kakanj d.o.o. Kakanj Brown Coal Mine, Breza d.o.o. Breza Brown Coal Mine, and Zenica d.o.o. Zenica Brown Coal Mine are approved for service linkage with paid contributions for pension and disability insurance in the total amount of 5,847,780.94 KM, and the retirement of 133 employees is enabled, as well as service linkage with paid contributions for pension and disability insurance in the total amount of 8,401,416.72 KM for 253 employees for whom funds were paid based on court rulings, but who have not met the conditions for retirement.

Individually, Kreka d.o.o. Tuzla Coal Mine is approved for service linkage in the total amount of 2,044,742.44 KM for 58 employees, Kakanj d.o.o. Kakanj Brown Coal Mine 996,951.09 KM for service linkage for 24 employees, then Breza d.o.o. Breza Brown Coal Mine 1,089,097.25 KM for service linkage for 20 employees, while Zenica d.o.o. Zenica Brown Coal Mine is approved 1,716,990.16 KM for service linkage for 31 employees.

Breza d.o.o. Breza Brown Coal Mine is approved for service linkage for funds paid based on court rulings, for 125 employees who have not met the conditions for retirement, in the total amount of 4,192,474.33 KM, and Zenica d.o.o. Zenica Brown Coal Mine for service linkage for funds paid based on court rulings, for 128 employees who have not met the conditions for retirement, in the total amount of 4,208,942.39 KM.

The funds will be paid from the funds of the mines within the JP EP BiH Concern, and they are secured by the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on Approving Funds for Lending to Subsidiary Companies - Coal Mines dated 17.10.2023.

JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo, subsidiary companies - coal mines within the Concern, the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Institute, and the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH are responsible for the implementation of this decision.

The decision enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH.
