Decisions and Conclusions from the 12th Regular Session of the Presidency of BiH

(Patria) - The Presidency of BiH, at its 12th regular session held today, took note of the Information from the Ministry of Defense of BiH on the implementation of the UN Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (PCRS).

The Presidency of BiH gave its consent to the Ministry of Defense of BiH to, in accordance with United Nations procedures, send a verbal note with a description of the contribution, an agreed organizational and formation structure of forces, with a list of main equipment and a list of self-sustainability capabilities of units for the PCRS contribution.

The Presidency of BiH tasked the Ministry of Defense of BiH to, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, take measures and actions within its competence to declare the mentioned units through the PCRS and create conditions for their eventual deployment to UN peacekeeping operations, following the adoption of a Decision by the Presidency of BiH, and in accordance with legally defined procedures.

The Presidency of BiH took note of the Information from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH on the implementation of bilateral agreements on trade and/or economic cooperation, trade, and free (preferential) trade agreements concluded by Bosnia and Herzegovina with other countries.

The Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation extended to the member of the Presidency of BiH, Denis Bećirović, for an official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium in his capacity as the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH and the date of the audience with King Philippe on March 25, 2024.

The Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation to attend the opening of the Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris on July 26, 2024.

The Presidency of BiH adopted a conclusion in which it requests the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to provide complete information on the status of the project "Improving the conditions of schooling in primary schools in RS through the procurement of minibuses for student transportation" within seven days.

The Presidency of BiH tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to forward the project with all documentation to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Presidency of BiH made decisions to accept:

- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro for the period 2021-2027 between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH;

- The Agreement between the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro on the implementation of the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro for the period 2021-2027 between the Republic of Croatia, represented by the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and Montenegro, represented by the Ministry of European Affairs;

- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg VI-B IPA Adriatic-Ionian Program (ADRION) for the period 2021-2027 between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and the Republic of Italy, represented by the Emilia-Romagna region;

- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg VI-B EURO MEDITERRANEAN Program (EURO MED) for the period 2021-2027 between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and the French Republic, represented by the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur;

- The Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Program "Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina" for the period 2021-2027.

The Presidency of BiH approved the conclusion of:

- The Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Digital Transformation between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of the Republic of Slovenia, and the Government Office for Information Security of the Republic of Slovenia;

- The Partnership Agreement in the implementation of priority technical assistance within the IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Program Bosnia and Herzegovina - Serbia 2021-2027 concluded between the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia;

- The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Research.

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision on the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Global Convention on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications.

The Presidency of BiH adopted the Report of the Ministry of Justice of BiH on the work of the Commission for Pardons for the period January-December 2023.

The Presidency of BiH will, in accordance with Article 20 of the Law on Pardons of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH, No: 93/05), inform the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH about the decisions on pardons made during the previous year.
