Government Decision: Due to the victims in Paris, November 16th declared Day of Mourning in FBiH

The Government of the Federation of BiH today, at an urgent session held by phone, adopted the Decision on declaring Monday, November 16, 2015, a Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

In this way, the Federation of BiH expresses its grief and solidarity with the French people following the series of terrorist attacks in Paris and the deaths of innocent people.

The Day of Mourning will be marked by the mandatory flying of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, i.e., on the poles of the buildings of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the day of mourning, cultural and entertainment programs cannot be held in public places in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Media houses on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are obliged to harmonize and adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning, according to the Decision of the Government of FBiH.

The Government of the Federation of BiH calls on citizens to, on the Day of Mourning at 12:00 PM, observe a minute of silence, recite Fatiha, or in another appropriate way, pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris, as citizens of all European countries will do.

In sign of mourning for those who perished in these terrorist attacks, flags have been lowered to half-mast, i.e., on the poles, in front of the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo and Mostar.
