DECISION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE OF FBIH 'Locked Prices' for 65 products in stores from February 28

(Patria) - If you thought the decision on so-called "locked prices" in retail chains in FBiH, which lowers the price of 65 products and locks it for a period of 90 days, had come into effect and you were looking for discounted products, you won't find them before February 28.

The Decision on prescribing the measure of immediate price control by determining the maximum price level for certain products was published today in the Official Gazette of FBiH, and it comes into effect on the eighth day from its publication, meaning its application begins on February 28.

Business entities (retailers) registered for retail trade are obliged, for the products covered by the decision, to set prices up to the level of the prescribed maximum retail price for at least one type of item within the same product category, if they offer them in their assortment.

In case a certain type of item of the same product is not available for sale, retailers shall designate another item of the same product offered in their assortment, which will be subject to the price limitation.

Retailers are obliged to clearly, visibly, and legibly display a visual identification mark of a green padlock with red letters "locked price" next to the retail price.

Furthermore, at the entrance to the retail facility or in another visible and legible place within the retail facility and on the website, if established, a poster must be clearly, visibly, and legibly displayed containing at least: visual identification and a list of items with the previously stated (regular) price and the "Locked Price" for the same product.
