Zenica Municipal Court Decided: Police Commissioner Rusmir Šišić Must Be Reinstated, His Rank Restored!

(Patria) - Dismissed ZDK MUP Commissioner Rusmir Šišić must be reinstated, the Municipal Court in Zenica decided.

In addition, Šišić must have his Chief Inspector rank restored, which was taken away from him during the dismissal.

The Municipal Court in Zenica concluded that the adopted amendment to the Law on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton cannot be applied retroactively. The court issued a temporary injunction reinstating Šišić to his position, ordering the institutions of the Zenica-Doboj Canton to do so, along with the restoration of his rank.

The court thus did not succumb to the pressure and campaign waged against Šišić.

We remind you that the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton dismissed Šišić from the position of police commissioner on July 12 and stripped him of his rank.
