Going for treatment to Turkey: 30,000 euros collected for Selma Sefer

The amount of 30 thousand euros, as required by the proforma invoice from Istanbul Memorial Sisli hospital for post-operative treatment after liver surgery for little Selma Sefer, has been collected, writes the Patria News Agency. 

After the humanitarian campaign launched at the beginning of the month, sufficient funds have been collected, which are needed as a guarantee for post-operative treatment and further medical care.

-It is planned that by the beginning of next week we will complete all necessary tests and gather all the required paperwork, as her condition changes from day to day, and earlier findings are not relevant. After that, we are preparing for the trip to Istanbul and surgery at Memorial Sisli hospital, or rather, for a liver transplant, says Selma's father Vedad Sefer.

-I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who supported the fundraising in any way and thus gave my daughter a chance for a new life, thank you sincerely and from the bottom of my heart, he added.

We remind you that Selma Sefer is an eight-year-old girl from Sarajevo who suffers from autoimmune hepatitis with liver cirrhosis. She spent two months in the hospital until her diagnosis was established, and the playful and cheerful Selma had to exchange her room and toys for a hospital room, needles, and medications that keep her alive.

Selma has a long road ahead to full recovery, but it is a great thing that we have helped her take the first steps on the path to healing.
