Skako's departure and Bogićević's arrival is a victory for Sarajevo!

(Patria) - The Sarajevo Cantonal Committee of SDP BiH condemns yesterday's primitive attack by the outgoing Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skako, on the future Mayor Bogić Bogićević.

"Skako's belittling of the human and moral giant Bogić Bogićević most vividly illustrates why Sarajevo voted for a change from the arrogant and narrow-minded SDA government embodied in the person and work of Abdulah Skako.

SDP BiH proudly points out that Bogićević's election is also an indicator of the return of dignity and prestige to the City of Sarajevo and the office of the mayor, largely undermined by SDA's primitivization and de-intellectualization of public space and the most significant public functions in Sarajevo. Skako's departure and Bogićević's arrival is a victory for every well-intentioned, sincere Sarajevan and Bosnian and Herzegovinian, and we in SDP BiH are proud to have had the opportunity to propose a finally dignified representative to the citizens of Sarajevo," the statement said.
