Response from associations to Grlić Radman: The book presents all facts from the verdicts of the Hague Tribunal

(Patria) - The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Association "Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves" sent a response to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman, who stated that it is unacceptable and unfounded to place Croatia in the same position as Serbia as aggressors in BiH, referring to the promotion of the book "Serbia and Croatia in the International Armed Conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

"On May 26, 2024, in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, you reacted to the held promotion of the book 'Serbia and Croatia in the International Armed Conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina' and stated that the book promotes a narrative that distorts facts and historical truth.

The publishers of the book are: the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Association Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves, and the book is based on judicially established facts, i.e., the verdicts of the Hague Tribunal, the same court that acquitted Ante Gotovina, a general of the HV (Croatian Army), of responsibility for war crimes.

The same court that convicted Veselin Šljivančanin, Milan Martić, and the same court that convicted Karadžić, Mladić, and many others for the committed genocide in Srebrenica, based on those verdicts, the Resolution was adopted in the UN General Assembly, of which the Republic of Croatia is a sponsor (we hope you have read the text of the Resolution).

Attached to the letter, we are providing you with the book 'Serbia and Croatia in the International Armed Conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina' and we ask you, if you find anything that is not a judicially established fact, to point it out to us, or to issue a public apology and publicly support the legacy of the ICTY/MICT," they state in the letter.

Also, these associations state that they plan to promote the book in Serbia and Croatia as well and that he will be invited to the promotion.

"We are not equating, we are presenting judicially established facts," state these two associations.
