(Patria) - Regarding the public statement by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, in which he assessed the meeting between the BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović and the former commander of the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Atif Dudaković, as an act directed against the Serb people and the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of RS, Mehmed Pargan, advisor to the BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović, issued a statement.
"The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was a legal and the only internationally recognized military formation during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina. It did not commit genocide like the Army of RS, whose entire leadership, as well as the leadership of the entity formalized in Dayton, has been convicted of genocide, a joint criminal enterprise, or mass war crimes," Pargan stated.
The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina defended the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina within its historical and internationally recognized borders, precisely from aggression and genocide.
"The ideology on which the political idea to which Nešić belongs is based glorifies criminals and crimes today, convicted before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Nešić and his political clique are proud of what the whole world is ashamed of".
Pargan emphasized that General Atif Dudaković has not been convicted of war crimes and is not guilty until proven otherwise.
"It is worrying that the Minister of Security prejudges court verdicts and thus publicly pressures the Bosnian-Herzegovinian judiciary".
It is important to point out, Pargan states, that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are grateful to General Dudaković and the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for defending Bosanska Krajina, precisely from those whom Nešić and his party colleagues celebrate today.
"The Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was not against Serbs. On the contrary, Serbs fought honorably in its ranks for their country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and together with other fighters, proudly preserved its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. On the foundations of that struggle, we advocate today for a country of free and equal people, equal before the law. As Minister of Security, Nenad Nešić is responsible for the security of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just one ethnic group. Unfortunately, his daily political actions, based on deepening inter-ethnic tensions, bordering on inciting dangerous inter-ethnic hatred, are more in the function of destabilizing the country," Pargan concluded.
