Response to the Questionnaire: Zvizdić claims everything will be finished by the end of the year, not considering resignation

At the session of the House of Representatives, MP Saša Magazinović asked Prime Minister Denis Zvizdić by when the answers to the European Commission's Questionnaire would be collected, harmonized, and translated, and whether he would resign if the deadline was not met.

Zvizdić stated that they are trying to compensate for the five months during which they did not receive answers from Republika Srpska. He said that about 40 working group meetings have been held and that they currently have all the answers, but they are returning them to the institutions for further verification and to submit the laws that will need to be attached to the answers.

Zvizdić said that they regularly report on the progress of the Questionnaire at every session of the Council of Ministers, and also noted that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina receives regular reports.

By mid-September, we will know if all answers are harmonized or if other bodies will work on further harmonization. We will need 100 to 120 translators to translate everything within a month to a month and a half.

- By the end of the year, our optimistic expectation is that we will complete the Questionnaire and send it – said Zvizdić.
Magazinović stated that there are a number of problems and that the public should be informed, and that Zvizdić did not answer the question of whether he would resign if the deadline was not met.

- If we wrap everything in cellophane, we will never finish. Why don't you say that people who have waited for their moment are sitting in the working bodies, and instead of technical matters, they are dealing with politics. It will turn out that the Coordination Mechanism does not function because more than 1000 people need to agree. This will be a boomerang for you if a false picture of the process, which is accompanied by many problems, continues to be created – said Magazinović.
