Discussion on three laws to help flood-affected areas postponed

The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH did not consider the adoption of three laws for the assistance and reconstruction of flood-affected areas in BiH today, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). The consideration of the laws sent by the FBiH Government in an urgent procedure has been postponed until Wednesday, after the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH considers the same package.

Through three legal solutions, the Government planned to unblock large amounts of funds that all levels of government have in reserves, and redirect them to the reconstruction of endangered areas.

At the same time, it was proposed to establish a fund whose job would be to distribute collected aid in accordance with clear criteria, and finally, it was proposed to introduce a self-contribution from employees for assistance to flood-affected areas, reports NAP.
