Sanjin Sefić's appeal rejected, his extradition to Bosnian judiciary expected

The Higher Court in Novi Sad received the decision of the Court of Appeal in Novi Sad today, 09.12.2016, file number Kž.-Kre  24/16, made on 07.12.2016, which rejected as unfounded the appeal filed by Sanjin Sefić's defense attorney against the decision of the Higher Court in Novi Sad from 02.11.2016, which established that the legal prerequisites for the extradition of suspect Sefić Sanjin from Sarajevo to Bosnia and Herzegovina were met, it was announced from the Higher Court in Novi Sad, writes Patria.

On October 10, Sanjin Sefić killed two female students with his car, after which he fled the scene. On the morning of October 11, he left BiH via the Uvac border crossing and entered Serbia, where he was arrested.

He is charged with the criminal offense of a serious criminal offense against public traffic safety and the criminal offense of failure to provide assistance to a person injured in a traffic accident.

This makes the decision of the Higher Court in Novi Sad, file no. KRE 20/16, dated 02.11.2016, legally binding, and the case files will be submitted to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia as soon as possible, as the final decision on extradition is made by the minister responsible for justice in the Republic of Serbia, thus concluding the extradition procedure.
