Tribute paid to all martyrs and victims who gave their lives for the defence of BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Numerous delegations from all levels of government laid flowers at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery, at the grave of the first President of the Presidency of BiH, Alija Izetbegović.

With a minute of silence, reciting the Fatiha or in another appropriate manner, they paid tribute to all martyrs and victims who gave their lives for the defence of BiH. 

Flowers were laid by members of the Presidency of BiH, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović, representatives of the Parliament of BiH, Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Bakir Izetbegović, the Federation of BiH, the Presidency of the Federation of BiH, the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, municipalities, veterans' associations, and numerous other delegations.

Bakir Izetbegović, President of the SDA, congratulated the Statehood Day of BiH to all citizens in BiH and the diaspora.

"The crisis we are currently going through is a sign of the strengthening of BiH because it is caused by the defence of anti-Bosnian forces. We will not give up; we will ensure stability and strengthen its institutions. It is important that this country is also seen as their own in the RS entity. BiH is being slowed down but will not be stopped; it will be a well-organised country," said Izetbegović.
