Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović remained in the Potočari Memorial Centre after most of the delegation had left, reports a reporter from the Bosnian news agency Patria.
After delivering a speech at the commemoration, Grabar-Kitarović laid a white lily at the memorial, wearing a white scarf on her head which she did not remove even when she left the area where the graves of the Srebrenica victims are located.
She wanted to take a closer look at the photographs in the Genocide Museum, and those present warmly welcomed her. Many wanted to take a photo with the Croatian president, and a literal line formed of those who wished to greet her.
