Perfumes worth 56,680 KM seized from foreign national

Officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH in Banja Luka temporarily seized a larger quantity of perfumes worth 56,680 KM from a foreign national, Patria reports.

While conducting checks on the movement and origin of goods in Banja Luka, authorized officials of the ITA, Regional Center Banja Luka, found goods in the possession of a natural person, a foreign national, without any documentation of origin.

Since the goods were not declared to the competent customs authorities for import customs clearance upon entering the customs territory of BiH, they were temporarily seized. The total consisted of 555 pieces of various types of perfumes (Giorgio Armani, Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Chanel, Bvlgary, etc.).

Given that it was a foreign national, judicial authorities were contacted, and misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against the foreign national before the competent court.

During the activities to detect and seize goods, the previous training and donated equipment through the EXBS program, supported by the US Government, played a significant role, it was announced from the ITA of BiH.
