From Monday, classes at full capacity, Sivro confirmed that the warning strike was in accordance with the law!

(Patria) - The Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has called off the warning strike.

This means that from April 22, classes will be held at full capacity.

The President of the Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saudin Sivro, held a press conference today, April 19, before the assembly, where he spoke about the warning strike of education workers in Sarajevo Canton.

Sivro said that everything that is happening is in accordance with the law, and that the results of the investigation by the competent authorities will also show this.

He said that the Union received a court decision today.

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo rejected the proposal for a temporary measure to ban the strike as unfounded.

"I call on the public to support our struggle. We worked when our salaries were much lower. Where do they get the data on earnings? They said our strike was illegal, which is a direct influence of the government on the court. We must harmonize our laws with the EU and we must behave in accordance with those laws. And the government is lying to us that the strike is illegal, which is a direct influence of the executive branch. I call on the government to stop this," Sivro said.

He said that the Union received a request today to respond to a lawsuit related to the strike.

"Our legal team has begun drafting a response, which will be completed within the legal deadline of three days. We will not comment on what the court's decision will be. Let the court judge as it sees fit and as the law prescribes," Sivro emphasized.

He thanked the judge who made this decision and said that everyone had their own teacher, instructor, and professor.

"A state that does not invest in police officers, doctors, and teachers will be doomed to failure. We call on the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Education to engage in social dialogue in order to eliminate the shortcomings of the standards that were adopted behind closed doors, without respecting thousands of comments from all interested parties," Sivro said.

He called for teachers not to be turned into clerks.

"You enter our schools and kindergartens like enemies, do not do that. You threatened us, we will not give you the names of schools, and if you continue, we will deal with you through legal means. There are no personal conflicts. Just do your job responsibly and as prescribed. Do not be unfair. We do not wish for anything bad, but we will defend ourselves with all available means. I declare these three days a success," Sivro emphasized.

He also requested support from parents.

"Understand that we are fighting for your children. We want children in primary school to be happy, not to break their backs, not to kill their spirit. You cannot carry out reform without education workers. Today at the session, we will decide whether to continue the strike and whether to go to protests," Sivro said.
