(Patria) - The Institute for Public Health of Sarajevo Canton has published new data regarding the leptospirosis epidemic in the Canton.
According to their data, another case of leptospirosis infection was reported yesterday, bringing the total number of infected in the Canton to 71 (30 laboratory-confirmed and 41 probable cases based on the World Health Organization definition).
According to this morning's data, two patients are hospitalized at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.
The epidemic of the infectious disease leptospirosis in Sarajevo Canton was declared on May 23.
