Cigarettes will be more expensive in BiH from New Year

(Patria) - In accordance with the Decision of the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority on determining the specific and minimum excise duty on cigarettes and smoking tobacco for 2019, which was previously adopted by the Management Board of the ITA, all major manufacturers and distributors of cigarettes had to submit new calculations of retail prices of cigarettes and smoking tobacco by November 30, 2018, which will be in effect from the beginning of 2019.

New retail prices of cigarettes and smoking tobacco that will be applied from 01/01/2019.

As a reminder, in accordance with the Decision on determining the specific and minimum excise duty on cigarettes and smoking tobacco for 2019, a proportional excise duty of 42% of the retail price and a specific excise duty of 1.65 KM per pack will be paid per pack of cigarettes in 2019. An excise duty of 114.40 KM will be paid per kilogram of smoking tobacco in 2019.
