Flights from Sarajevo and Banja Luka to Geneva and Zurich from next year

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Boris Tučić met on Wednesday in his office with the Ambassador of Switzerland Heinrich Maurer, the Ministry announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The meeting discussed Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the EFTA agreement, which enters into force for our country on January 1, 2015. Namely, from the beginning of next year, Bosnia and Herzegovina will join the EFTA economic group, after which goods from BiH will be exported to the four member countries of this economic group: Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland.

The free trade agreement with EFTA countries excludes the most sensitive products for BiH from liberalization, for which concessions were not granted in the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with EU countries (agricultural products and fish).

Minister Tučić and Ambassador Mauerer also discussed the opening of new air routes on the Geneva - Sarajevo line, which will be operational in March 2015, and the Zurich - Sarajevo and Zurich - Banja Luka lines, which will be operational in May 2015.
