In June, 458,632 beneficiaries received pensions, an increase of 938 new pensioners in July. The number of employed persons based on employee residence as of June 30, 2025, is 547,055, which is only 87,485 more employed persons than the number of pensioners. This ratio is concerning, with a tendency for further deterioration.

The average pension for independent pension beneficiaries, of whom 372,120 are registered for payment in July, is 760.43 KM.

The Government of the Federation of BiH adopted the Decree on a one-time cash supplement to pensions as support for beneficiaries of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Institute, so beneficiaries of the lowest pension (599.28 KM) residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive a one-time supplement of 250.00 KM along with their July pension. Beneficiaries who are entitled to the payment of the difference in pension up to the amount of the lowest pension in accordance with Article 82 of the Pension and Disability Insurance Law will receive the same amount.

Beneficiaries who have acquired the right to a pension ranging from 599.28 KM to 800.00 KM will receive a one-time supplement of 200.00 KM.

Beneficiaries who have acquired the right to a pension ranging from 800.01 KM to 1,000.00 KM will receive a supplement of 150.00 KM, while beneficiaries who have acquired the right to a pension ranging from 1,000.01 KM to 1,500.00 KM will receive a supplement of 100.00 KM.

The Decree stipulates that the one-time pension supplement is paid to beneficiaries residing in BiH who were registered for payment on the date the Decree entered into force.

The one-time cash supplement is not paid to beneficiaries who have acquired the right to a proportional part of the pension, except for beneficiaries who are entitled to the difference in pension up to the amount of the lowest pension in accordance with Article 82 of the Pension and Disability Insurance Law.

Also, the supplement is not paid to beneficiaries who are employed, nor to beneficiaries who are entitled to compensation for physical disability.
