Facade fell off building due to strong bora wind: Strongest bora in 10 years hits Split

Hurricane-force gusts of bora wind reaching 155 kilometers per hour were recorded in the Split area this morning, marking the strongest bora in Split in the last decade, according to Rade Popadić, founder of the Crometeo portal, which monitors and forecasts weather, writes index.hr, reports Patria.

He recalled that a stronger hurricane-force wind gust than today's 155 kilometers per hour at the Marjan Meteorological Station was recorded on November 14, 2004, when the speed exceeded 170 kilometers per hour.

Dalmatinski portal published a video showing the bora wind dislodging a part of the facade from a building in Split! This happened shortly after 1 PM and fortunately, no one was injured!
