From December 2015 to July 2016, 480 BiH citizens deported from Germany

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina was briefed on the Information from the Ministry of Security regarding BiH's activities in accepting citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina returning from the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of the European Emergency Travel Document for Return (EU - Laissez Passer).

The use of the European Emergency Travel Document for Return, issued by the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany, has been extended and will be valid for BiH citizens during their return/deportation/expulsion to BiH for an additional period of 90 days, starting from August 1, 2016.

The Ministry of Security will monitor this process and inform the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at one of the upcoming sessions about the actions of the competent BiH authorities, so that BiH can take over this activity after the expiration of this deadline.

According to the Information, 480 BiH citizens were returned to BiH from December 10, 2015, to June 30, 2016, out of 3,903 who, according to the relevant German authorities, are in the Federal Republic of Germany in the category of economic migrants. Only 166 persons were accepted with the EU - Laissez Passer document, 299 with a BiH passport, 12 with an ID card, and three with a travel document. At the same time, the acceptance of 40 persons was refused because checks determined that they were not BiH citizens.
