Cigarettes with Montenegrin excise stamps confiscated from a Banja Luka resident

Police officers of the Banja Luka Traffic Safety Police Station, on the main road Banja Luka - Prijedor in the place Tunjice, during a control of a cargo vehicle driven by S.M. from Banja Luka, found 300 packs of cigarettes „Monte“ with excise stamps of the Republic of Montenegro and 20 packs of cigarettes „Marble“ without excise stamps, for which S.M. did not have the appropriate documentation on the origin of the goods, reports the Patria news agency.

The tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina prescribes BiH excise stamps for this type of goods traded on the territory of BiH.

The said goods were confiscated and handed over to the authority of the Republic Administration for Inspection Affairs, Regional Office Banja Luka. The documentation of the event and the determination of the existence of elements of a criminal offense and criminal responsibility of the participant are in progress, the RS Ministry of Interior announced.
