Election campaign for candidates for President of Republika Srpska in early elections begins on November 8

(Patria) - In accordance with the Instruction on deadlines for election activities for holding early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, which will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, tomorrow, November 8, is the day when the election campaign officially begins and lasts until November 22, 2025, until 7:00 a.m., when the election silence begins.

According to the provisions of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the "Election Campaign" is the period during which political entities, in a manner prescribed by law, inform voters and the public about their programs and candidates for the upcoming elections.

We especially emphasize that political entities are prohibited from presenting false information through the media that could jeopardize the integrity of the electoral process and misinform voters. In case of violation of this norm, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina is authorized to conduct proceedings and impose sanctions.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on political parties, candidates, and supporters of political parties, as well as independent candidates and their supporters, to refrain from statements that raise tensions and to conduct a fair election campaign.

The number of voters with the right to vote as of November 3 is 1,264,364.

For the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, the candidacies of four candidates have been certified: Dragana Đokanović (Alliance for New Politics), Branko Blanuša (SDS), Siniša Karan (SNSD), and Nikola Lazarević (Ecological Party of Republika Srpska), and independent candidates Igor Gašević and Slavko Dragičević have also been certified.
