Out of 140 countries, BiH ranks impressively 8th in hospitality

The World Economic Forum published a report this month on hospitality towards tourists in 140 countries, and BiH ranks eighth, which after Macedonia, ranking fourth, is the best result among the countries in the region, writes therichest.com, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Among Balkan countries, Bulgaria ranks worst at 132nd position, while Iceland is best positioned. The least hospitable countries according to this report are Bolivia, Venezuela, Russia, Iran...

As stated, several aspects were evaluated for the ranking. From culture, history, geographical attractions, to the approach towards tourists, which has been characteristic of BiH for centuries, welcoming all visitors with open arms.

Otherwise, tourism is an economic branch that could significantly impact BiH's economy, but only if a system is established to enable it. As long as "wild" tour guides explain history to tourists and do not report them to the Tourist Board, rob them at every step starting from pickpockets, taxi drivers, and various other opportunists, it is questionable how long BiH will remain one of the desirable destinations.
