FOLLOWING IN HIS FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS INTO POLITICS: Igor Dodik elected organizational secretary of SNSD

(Patria) - The Presidency of SNSD has appointed Igor Dodik, the son of SNSD President Milorad Dodik, to the position of organizational secretary of the party.

At the session of the SNSD Main Committee, held on February 3, Srđan Amidžić was appointed as general secretary. Amidžić is also the current Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the general and organizational secretaries will deal with the situation on the ground.

"So we believe that our organization will grow by admitting new members, which is also one of our priorities this year. We have over 202,000 registered members," Dodik said at today's press conference.

Since October 2023, Dodik's children Igor and Gorica have been on the US blacklist.

Igor Dodik and Gorica Dodik are a key part of Dodik's support network and enable his corruption. They have taken public funds from the RS and citizens for their own enrichment. They have also supported destabilizing policies, actions, and rhetoric that challenge and undermine the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and multi-ethnic character of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including attacks on the Dayton Peace Agreement and the BiH Constitution. The US will continue to use sanctions as a tool to fight corruption and will insist on the accountability of individuals for their actions.

The US imposed sanctions on Igor and Gorica Dodik as individuals, but they were also imposed on their companies: Agape Gorica Dodik and Ivana Dodik SP Banja Luka, Agro voće d.o.o. Laktaši, Global liberty d.o.o. Laktaši, which are linked to Gorica, and Fruit Eco d.o.o. Gradiška, which is linked to Igor Dodik.
