Large Number of Turkish Officials Expected at the Grand Opening of the Ahi Evran Veli Kirşehir Mosque in Olovo

(Patria) - The Ahi Evran Veli Kirşehir Mosque will be opened today in Olovo, and the opening is expected to be attended by high religious and state officials of our country and the Republic of Turkey, as well as numerous guests and believers from all parts of our country.

Esad-ef. Pepić, the chief imam of Olovo, said that "great celebrations are accompanied by great preparations," emphasizing that everything is proceeding according to the planned schedule.

"We have finished the mosque, we keep it clean and fragrant, so that on that day it can receive all believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond, given that this mosque was largely financed by the brotherly municipality of Kirşehir," said Efendi Pepić.

He recalled that the first works began on October 15, 2017. Then, on November 3, 2017, the foundation stone was laid, followed by a halt in the construction of the mosque from 2019.

"Thanks to the Diyanet Waqf, which committed to completing the mosque complex, we managed to finish the works on the mosque, the administrative building, and the house that was endowed by the mayor of Olovo this year. The municipality helped with the landscaping of the exterior. Our believers are eagerly awaiting the opening," he stated.

As he said, Olovo deserved this mosque, first and foremost, because of the martyr's blood of the fighters who defended Olovo during the aggression, the residents of Olovo who stayed here to live deserved it, and above all, this is a reward for our congregation members, who watched every day, rejoiced in the construction, and today rejoice in its completion and use, concluded Efendi Pepić.
