Increased Vehicle Frequency Expected Towards the South

(Patria) - This morning, traffic on the roads of Bosnia and Herzegovina is on dry asphalt, without significant disturbances or traffic difficulties. Considering that the weekend is approaching, an increased frequency of vehicles is expected on all routes leading to the south of our country. We appeal to drivers to maintain a safe distance between vehicles, avoid risky overtaking, and always use seat belts.

On the M-17 highway at the entrance to Žepče, due to ongoing works, vehicles will be moving slowly today from 08:00 to 15:30. Due to the extremely busy section, longer queues of vehicles are expected at the construction site in both directions.

On the Rogatica-Ustiprača highway, due to bridge damage, vehicles up to 30 tons are using a single lane, while traffic is suspended for vehicles over 30 tons.

Reconstruction works are ongoing on the highways: Vitez-Travnik, Kladanj-Vlasenica, Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Foča-Ustikolina, Dobro Polje-Miljevina, and Bijeljina-Rača.

Increased vehicle frequency is observed at the Izačić border crossing on exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing on entry into our country. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is proceeding with short delays.

Until the end of August, the Krstac border crossing (on the Gacko-Nikšić road) is open for passenger traffic.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are being redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing.
