DECISION EXPECTED: Meeting of parties underway in Mostar

(Patria) - A meeting of parties that entered the Mostar City Council is underway in Mostar, organized by the BH Bloc.

According to the confirmed results, the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) will have the most councilors in the Mostar City Council, a total of 13, while the Coalition for Mostar (SDA, SBB, DF, SBIH, BPS) will have 11 councilors, the BH Bloc gets six, the Croatian Republican Party three, and the First Mostar Party and the list „Stay here – Together for our Mostar“ one mandate each.

The first session of the Mostar City Council should be held no later than Friday, February 5, after the Central Election Commission (CIK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the official election results in this city, and they were published in the Official Gazette on January 22, N1 reports.

According to the Statute of the City of Mostar, the first session of the City Council is convened by the oldest councilor, and this time it is Tomislav Primorac, who was elected from the HDZ BiH list.

At the first session, the newly elected councilors will accept their certificates and take the oath.

According to the statute, at the first session of the City Council, a president and two vice-presidents are elected from among the city councilors.
